A county Leitrim GAA club has lodged ambitious plans to enhance their club facilities.
Leitrim Gaels Community Development Ltd has submitted an application in relation to expanding club facilities in Leitrim Village.
This planning application includes the proposed construction of a new training pitch, two 20mx10m padel courts and the proposed construction of a gym.
Also included is the proposed construction of a community walkway and the proposed erection of a digital scoreboard to serve the existing playing field.
Permission is also being requested for the proposed change of use of the first floor of the existing clubhouse from general storage to community use.
The application also details plans for the proposed construction of a detached single storey building to the west of the existing clubhouse comprising a community gymnasium, changing rooms and all associated signage.
A decision is expected to be made by planners by September 2nd.
