Longford Superintendent reports steady progress in curbing violence and criminality in the county

Longford garda Superintendent Jim Delaney says gardai are making steady progress on curbing violent behaviour and criminality in the county.

The garda officer was speaking at yesterday's meeting of the Joint Policing Committee in Longford where members praised the work of the gardai following several significant seizures of assets in a series of early morning raids.

Superintendent Jim Delayney told yesterday's meeting there have been no incidents of violence in association with a feud in the area for some time.

Speaking to Shannonside News the garda officer said they're determined to continue with the battle against violence and crime in the area.
