A local Senator has confirmed that he will vote against a Sinn Féin bill to remove the three day wait period for an abortion.
It was carried earlier this week by 86 votes to 70 in the Dáil.
The Taoiseach and Tánaiste supported the motion with a large number of government TDs voting against.
It will now go the Seanad for Senators to vote on.
