The Minister for Communications has confirmed that county Longford is on course to receive full broadband coverage imminently.
Under the National Broadband Plan, minimum speeds of 500 megabits per second are on the way to homes, farms, businesses and schools.
Also included in the roll-out are counties Westmeath and Tipperary.
