A Longford Pharmacist is questioning the HSE's explanation for the 600 thousand reportedly "missing" flu vaccines.
Padraig Loughrey says it doesn't make sense that reimbursement for flu vaccines isn't being claimed on the same day as they are administered and there are certainly none lying around unused.
Earlier today, the Head of the HSE Paul Reid insisted that none of the vaccines issued have gone missing.
Padraig Loughrey says the demand for the flu jab has been unprecedented this year so far and he has hundreds of people on a waiting list to get theirs.
He's advising them to try and seek it elsewhere while they wait for their next allocation to arrive.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound news, the former Longford County Councillor says there simply aren't enough and this situation doesn't add up.
