The recruitment company co-founded by Ballinalee native Anne Heraty is being sold to a Japanese group for almost €318 million euro.
Anne Heraty and her husband Paul Carroll own almost 35% of the business and so stand to receive almost €111 million.
CPL was established in 1989 and it was publicly floated in 1999.
Shares in the company rose by over 35% earlier today to a price of €11.20.
It's understood Anne Heraty and her husband are likely to stay in their roles with the company after the sale if it's agreed among shareholders.
