Longford has taken a step towards gaining a further third level institution in the town.
Longford International College was officially opened in Edgeworthstown and in an online ceremony.
It will offer blended online learning courses in Business, Sports Psychology and other disciplines.
It's been developed by Lanesboro resident and Longford Entrepreneur of the Year Vincent English in conjunction with a number of learning institutions from around the world, including Leeds United College.
The institution, which just started in March, already has its first online course up and running.
Speaking at the launch, Lanesboro resident Vincent English explains more about the courses they have on offer.
Michael Nevin of Longford Enterprise Office paid tribute to the innovative development.
