The proposed new limits can be viewed on the Longford County Council's website or can be accessed in person at Granard, Edgeworthstown and Ballymahon libraries.

Longford County Council have officially published their Draft Special Speed Limit Bye Laws. The plans are now available for analysis by the public at a number of locations in the county. The local authority byelaws include points such as areas of special speed limits in certain areas and speed reductions near rural schools.

The Council are seeking the publics view on these new laws with submissions open until the end of September. The proposed new limits can be viewed on the Longford County Council's website or can be accessed in person at Granard, Edgeworthstown and Ballymahon libraries. Submissions can be sent in writing to Samantha Healy Director of Services for Infrastructure Climate Action Innovation at the Councils Office in Longford Town and or by email to [email protected]. The closing date for the submissions is on Friday the 27th of September.
