The Chief Executive of Longford County Council is urging people to engage with their local authority on a new campaign aimed at helping Ireland and thrive during the coming months.
Longford County Council is supporting the government's 'keep well' initiative, which encourages people to consider five different elements of their lives during the Covid pandemic.
People are urged to keep active as well as staying connected while also taking an opportunity to switch off and be creative with their time as well as eating well and minding their moods.
The local authority is hoping to roll out a number of supports for people during the winter phase of the pandemic including special sporting activities as well as encouraging people to use local amenities and libraries.
CE Paddy Mahon feels that it is important that people feel they can find support if they are struggling.
