The President of Longford Chamber of Commerce is encouraging businesses in the county to apply for the Trading Online Scheme which is being run through the Local Enterprise Office.
Fiona Fenelon says the scheme covers most of the cost of setting up a website for businesses and it's still open for applications until the end of this month.
The new Chamber President says that so far over 130 businesses in Longford have availed of the scheme, and it has allowed local enterprises to advertise their product on a much wider scale than normal.
She says one local clothing store has actually attracted an order from the US as a result of its online advertising.
