A Fianna Fáil TD is ruling out Roscommon's rehab unit being built during this term of government. Almost 8 million euro was approved for the 20-bed unit in 2015, but it has never progressed. It's due to be built at Roscommon University Hospital.
It was taken off the HSE's capital plan in 2024, but is included in this year's version. But Roscommon-Galway TD, Martin Daly, says it won't be built in the next few years:
