It costs an average of €169.84 cent for weekly childcare locally.
The figures come as part of a parliamentary question from Kildare North TD Aidan Farrelly to Minister for Children, Norma Foley.
Two types of subsidies are available for children aged between 24 weeks and 15 years:
A universal subsidy which is not means tested and provides €2.14 per hour, for a maximum of 45 weekly hours.
While a family using 45 hours of care a week who are in receipt of the universal subsidy would receive €96.30 off their weekly childcare fee.
Families can use their National Childcare Scheme subsidy with any participating childcare provider, including childminders, who are registered with Tusla.
In the Shannonside region, Roscommon sees the highest cost at €177.02.
This is followed by Longford at €172.50 while in Leitrim it costs €160.
