'Local business family' buys landmark Roscommon town property

A well-known local business family has bought a landmark building in Roscommon town.

It went on the market for €500,000 in January, after Michael and Rita Oates closed their business, called ETL, after 40 years.

The three-storey building on Main Street has now been sold.

Auctioneer Seamus Carthy says the new owners have clear plans for historic property.

Carthy says he can’t reveal the final sale price.
