Local bus route to be discontinued next week

A local bus route is set to be discontinued next week.
Bus Éireann is withdrawing its bus service on Route 468, which runs from Strokestown to Elphin via Carrick-on-Shannon.

It will cease to be operational next Saturday, June 27th.
The route operates three days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, connecting the three towns as well as rural areas like Ballindrehid.
Route 468 was introduced in 2012, after Bus Éireann withdrew its Expressway route 22 from Elphin.
