A teenage boy has died in an incident at the Donegal International Rally.
Two other spectators have been injured and the rest of the motorsport event has been called off.
A number of spectators were injured in an incident involving a car taking part in the rally at Trentagh, near Kilmacrennan.
It happened on the 12th stage of the motorsport event shortly before 5 o'clock yesterday evening.
The teenage boy who's in his mid-teens was brought to Letterkenny University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The coroner has been notified and a post mortem examination will be carried out.
Two other people are receiving treatment in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
As a mark of respect, the organisers have cancelled the remainder of the event.
In a joint statement, Motorsport Ireland and Donegal Motor Club have expressed their deepest sympathies to the teenager's family and "have started a full investigation into the circumstances of the accident".
