A Leitrim wheelchair user says he's unable to live independently anymore because his specially modified car has been in for repair since May.
Eddie McGowan from Drumshanbo in Leitrim bought the car from Wheelchair Cars Ireland based in Glasson in Co Westmeath but says it had problems on a regular basis since he brought it home for use.
He sent the car in for repair at the garage in Glasson but says that four months on they won't give him an update on it and what the problems are.
Eddie says his father has had to have work carried out on his car to accommodate him on any journey, and he's been left in a very difficult situation.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning Eddie says he just wants a satisfactory end to the issue.
