Leitrim was the only county in the Shannonside region to record a slight decrease in its unemployment figures last month.

Just one county in the Shannonside recorded a drop in its unemployment figures last month compared to November, with the number of people on the live register in Leitrim dipping to 1650 - a decrease of eight from November.
Compared to the final month of 2019 - Leitrim's unemployment total is up 58 people year on year.
December's unemployment total in Longford was unchanged at 2396 - and year on year it shows an increase of 63 people.
Roscommon's live register total for last month was 1925- up sixteen on November figures.
However when compared to December 2019, 109 fewer people were on the live register last month compared to twelve months ago.
1744 people were unemployed in Athlone last month and 2,183 in Mullingar.
