The Editor of the Leitrim Guardian is paying tribute to the spirit of volunteerism in the county that has allowed the publication of the annual magazine despite the Covid pandemic.
The Guardian was established in 1968 by Michael Fox as a means of celebrating the county, its people and their achievements and to focus on the contributions of Leitrim people nationally and internationally.
There could be no official launch of the publication this year but the magazine is now available in shops and online at leitrimguardian.ie.
Bláithín Gallagher says getting this historic edition into the shops is an achievement in itself, and she hopes the Guardian's founder will be proud of the resilience show by the people of the county in the face of an unprecedented year.
