Leitrim crash victim remembered as "likeable rascal", with a "beaming smile", at his funeral Mass

The 18-year-old died when the tractor he was a passenger in collided at Aghavilla, Carrigallen, on Tuesday afternoon.

Leitrim crash victim Dessie O'Kelly has been remembered as a "likeable rascal" who "lived life to the full" at his funeral Mass.

The 18-year-old died when the tractor he was a passenger in collided at Aghavilla, Carrigallen, on Tuesday afternoon.

He used to attend Carrigallen Vocational School, who expressed their deep sadness at his death.

He was also a former altar server, had an outgoing personality, and was doing an agricultural course.

His funeral Mass took place in St Mary's Church, Drumeela, this afternoon, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Carrigallen parish priest Fr John McMahon paid tribute to him:
