A Leitrim Councillor is calling for funds given to community groups under the Local Enhancement Programme to be doubled. Fianna Fáil's Sean McGowan raised the issue at yesterday's Leitrim County Council meeting.
Earlier this month community organisations in Co. Leitrim received €119,000 in funding under the scheme. However Cllr McGowan is hoping the Government can increase the funding next year:
