A Longford Senator says he hopes a local Bishop will have a change of heart over the use of school sports facilities.
Senator Joe Flaherty says the Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise, Paul Connell, recently issued a notice to schools.
He says they're not allowed to make their grounds available to community groups outside of school hours.

The Fianna Fáil Senator says this would have an impact on Sports Capital funding applications.
