There are a total of 42 people waiting for admission to hospitals across the region this afternoon with more than half of that number at the Midland Regional in Mullingar.
Latest figures from the INMO show that 24 people are on trolleys in the Emergency Department at Mullingar hospital today, the third highest number in the country.
There are 5 people on trolleys at Tullamore hospital today, with 4 each on trolleys at Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda, and Our Lady's Hospital in Navan.

Two people are waiting for admission to a bed at Portiuncula and Sligo hospitals, and one patient is on a trolley at Cavan general.
