Large number of patients on trolleys at Mullingar hospital again today

There are 20 patients on trolleys in the Emergency Department at Mullingar hospital today.

A notice was issued by the hospital yesterday asking visitors to stay away from the ED unless it was absolutely necessary due to the heavy volume of patients.

The number of patients on trolleys at the Emergency Department at Sligo hospital has reduced significantly from 35 yesterday to 15 today.
