The scene remains sealed off this lunchtime following a death of a man in county Leitrim. Emergency services were called to a house in Arderry, between Ballinamore and Carrigallen shortly after 9pm last night, where a man in his 40s was found unresponsive. Despite efforts by paramedics at the scene, he was pronounced dead a short time later. Gardaí have since launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at a Garda station in Leitrim. A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed, while the local Coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have also been notified.
