Hanly Quarries looks to extend site in north Roscommon

Hanly Quarries in north Roscommon is applying for planning permission to extend its quarrying operations at Cuilrevagh and Laragan, Elphin.

The application is seeking permission for the development for a period of 24 years for two extensions to the south and west of its existing site, with a total extraction area of 8.6 hectares or just over 21 acres.

The application is accompanied by an Environmental Impact Assessment Report and the local authority has until the early days of October to make a decision.
