Speculation is rife in the Boyle area this afternoon after the news broke that a half a million euro winning Euro Millions ticket was sold at a local shop.
Mark Healy from Healy's Xpress Stop at Ballyfarnon says they were contacted by the Lottery office this morning to tell them of the news, but they weren't told exactly when the ticket was sold.
The half million was a prize in the EuroMillions Lotto Plus Draw last night.
Mark says everyone is delighted with the good news, especially at this time, and they're hoping it's a local person who bought the ticket.
