Two charity shops in the north Longford town of Granard say they're surprised and delighted at how successful their online service has been over the past few months.
The St Vincent de Paul shop in the town, and the Pre Loved boutique which supports the Lus na Greine Family Resource Centre both had to close their doors ibn line with Covid restrictions.
Yvonne Gregory from the St Vincent de Paul shop says every penny is needed at this time of the year to make sure that people can get food hampers and vouchers to see them through the Christmas period.
She says people have been very generous in shopping online, and in giving donations.
Pauline Cummins who helps organise the Lus Na Greine Pre Loved boutique also says that donations have been excellent and they have to work fast to try to keep up with the demand online.
