Gardai fine 30 motorists under Covid travel restrictions at Newcastle Woods Ballymahon today

Gardai issued over 30 fixed payment notices to motorists parked at Newscastle Woods outside Ballymahon this afternoon after the vehicles were found to be outside their 5km Covid travel restrictions.

The operation was undertaken by Roscommon / Longford Roads Policing unit earlier today

Gardai say that around 70 vehicles were also turned around from the area.
