Roscommon householders are being urged to bring batteries and electrical waste to a free collection today.
The event, hosted by WEEE Ireland and Roscommon County Council, will take place at The Percy French Hotel in Strokestown.
It starts at 10 am and will continue until 4 o'clock this afternoon.
Householders can bring any item with a plug, battery or cable including old washing machines, TVs and kitchen appliances.
Computers and IT equipment can also be recycled on the day.
10.5kg of e-waste was recycled per person in Roscommon in 2024.
