A former Shannonside FM presenter has been remembered as a great family man. The funeral mass of Carthage Kidney took place in Co. Offaly earlier today.
He was one of the first presenters on the station in 1989 and was seen as a pioneer in showcasing local artists and songwriters. In his homily, local Parish Priest, Fr. Michael Whittaker, spoke about Carthage's love for music:
