The road between Strokestown and Tulsk has been closed following a serious traffic incident this morning involving two vehicles.
Emergency services are currently attending the scene on the N5 near Strokestown.
It's not yet known if anyone has been injured in the incident, that was reported shortly after 9am.

The road is currently closed and diversions are in place at Tulsk and in Strokestown, with HGVs urged to take marked routes.
Motorists are being urged to drive with caution and avoid the area if possible.
