4,842 new cases of covid-19 have been confirmed and 9 more people with the virus have died.
That's a big drop from yesterday's record high figure of 8,248 cases.
There are 1,049 new infections in Dublin, 530 in Cork, 514 in Waterford, 405 in Wexford and 247 in Louth.

1,293 coronavirus patients are in hospital, of which 119 are in ICU.
85 new cases gave been confirmed in Roscommon, 10 in Leitrim and 9 in Longford.
