A new initiative in Leitrim hopes to map a rural roads network that would be cyclist friendly.
People to come forward with their suggestions of quiet local roads in different areas that would be designated as a 'Rothar Road', where drivers would reduce their speed and be cyclist aware.
The launch of the project coincides with National Bike week, which will see the publication of ''A Vision for Cycling in Rural Ireland'' by the Cyclist.ie's Rural Cycling Collective.
People are asked to submit their suggestions on new routes to www.leitrimcyclingfestival/rotharroads
