Gardai in Longford and the wider Shannonside region are warning drivers of debris on many secondary and local roads this monring due to high winds.
A status yellow wind warning is in place across all of Leinster as well as Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford.
Met Eireann is forecasting gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour across the 17 counties.
