Crowds filled the streets of Carrick-on-Shannon this morning for the annual Fair Trade Parade.
Community groups, local businesses and schoolchildren turned out in force to celebrate the town’s commitment to ethical trade.
The parade is part of what's called 'Fairtrade Fairbruary'.
It is hoped to encourage people to choose Fairtrade products and support farmers and workers worldwide.
Organisers say the event continues to grow each year, strengthening Carrick’s Fair Trade status.
Chairperson of the local committee, Ben Conlon, says the support from the community has been overwhelming.
