The Covid-19 Online Retail Scheme is to benefit seven businesses in the Shannonside Northern Sound region.

Seven local businesses are to receive Government funding as part of the Covid-19 Online Retail Scheme. The companies in Monaghan, Roscommon, Cavan and Longford

Seven local businesses are to receive Government funding as part of the Covid-19 Online Retail Scheme.

The companies in Monaghan, Roscommon, Cavan and Longford are among those to receive funds from the 5.3 million euro scheme.

Monaghan receives the most under the scheme locally, with Cavan, Longford and Roscommon all having one business included.

No Leitrim businesses are to get funding in the programme, which it's hoped will help companies boost their online profiles and sales.

Four Monaghan businesses are included - Castleblayney Plant Hire, Dolans Pharmacy, Maurice Graham's and Ronaghan's Pharmacy.

In Longford, DAGG Procurement, trading as Johnstons Pharmacy is to receive funding.

Gerard Anthony in Roscommon and McDaid Pharmacy in Cavan are also included.

They'll all receive between €16,000 and €40,000.
