Concern has been expressed locally over the ever-increasing number of road crashes in south Leitrim. Five people were hospitalised following two separate collisions in the county in recent days.
190 people lost their lives on Irish roads in 2025. Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County County Council Cllr Paddy Farrell feels more need to be support those at a local level:
