A local councillor says grants to refurbish accommodation above shops will bring the wrong type of people to Longford. Cllr Mark Casey called on Longford County Council not to administer any paperwork in relation to the grant.
His motion was defeated at this month's meeting of the local authority. The Independent councillor says he's disappointed members didn't back his motion:
