The man who died in an incident in county Leitrim is understood to be from eastern Europe. Gardaí and emergency services were called to a house at the townland of Arderry, close to Carrigallen shortly after 9 o'clock last night, where a man in his 40s was found unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 30s was subsequently arrested, he is in custody at a Garda station in county Leitrim. The scene remains preserved for a technical examination, while investigating Gardaí continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
