The Department of Foreign Affairs is working to identify the most vulnerable Irish people currently stranded in the Middle East.
It’s planning to bus at least 280 people to Oman, where a chartered flight is set to leave for Ireland later this week.
Any vulnerable citizens, including elderly people or those with medical conditions, who have not yet been contacted, are being asked to call the liaison team in Dublin.
