Forty new carers jobs are being created in county Roscommon.

Home Instead Senior Care is looking to add to its workforce, which delivers essential services to older people in local communities throughout Roscommon.

The jobs come at a time of increased activity within the home care sector, with factors such as the onset of winter, continuing challenges resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, and general business growth all playing a part.

Operations Manager with Home Instead in Roscommon Jodie Molloy says that funding approval for homecare packages in budget 2021 has resulted in many applications being approved and this recruitment drive is to meet the demand.
