A group opposing a proposed waste transfer facility in Ballinasloe is welcoming news that the latest application lodged has been deemed invalid by the local authority.
The group has already mounted campaigns successfully against two previous applications for the facility.
The company behind the project lodged another planning application for the waste transfer scheme at Poolboy this week but its been deemed not to be valid.

They will now have to come back with a new application in the coming weeks.
The Ballinasloe says No group they are glad to have more time to prepare and build a new campaign against the plans.
