Ballinasloe has been announced as one of 15 areas selected for the new SÍOL Programme.
This is a €31.5 million initiative targeting urban communities with the highest levels of disadvantage.
The programme will fund projects to improve public spaces, enhance community safety, and support health and wellbeing.

Included in this roll-out is Ballinasloe rural and urban as well as Killure (pron: Kill-your) and Aughrim.
