Athlone IT is to proceed with a new building for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths or STEM subjects.
The Westmeath college is one six successful projects announced today which are aimed at delivering up to 8,000 additional student enrolments.
Athlone IT is among the first bundle, and projects included in that group will proceed to tender immediately.

The projects are being delivered under Project Ireland 2040.
