Swimming has been temporarily prohibited at Keeldra Lough in Co Leitrim.

That's following the detection of elevated algae levels in a water sample taken on May 25th.

Leitrim County Council has issued a bathing water advisory notice and is urging the public to avoid all contact with the water.
