The 67th annual Longford Association London dinner dance takes place this evening.
Over 200 people are expected to attend the event which takes place at the Clayton Hotel in Chiswick.
The association was formed over 65 years ago and founded over 65 years ago and hosts various social activities throughout the year including a successful golf day. Michael McCann is a native of Newtownforbes and is the current treasurer of the group.

We have our 67th annual dinner dance on Saturday night this year at the moment it's about 235 which, because a lot of the county associations that have fallen by the wayside. And I think, Longford which is one of the smallest countries in Ireland we are punching well above our weight.
