Nearly 300 children across the region are stranded on waiting lists for access to psychology services.
The figures were revealed by local Sinn Féin TD, Sorca Clarke, in response to a parliamentary question.
The highest number of patients was in the Galway-Roscommon region, at 172 children.

Meanwhile 119 young patients were on waiting lists across the Midlands and Sligo-Leitrim, has just six children waiting for treatment as of January 2026.
