Work will begin early next year on an €8 million school building in Ballaghaderreen.
It will involve an 11-classroom extension to St Attracta's National School on the Convent Road.
Its pupil numbers have grown by a third over the past seven years, and children from 26 different countries are attending the school.

Principal Noel Loftus says he's delighted the long-delayed project is finally going ahead.
He first told our reporter Eoghan Murphy about the growth of the school.
