On Wednesday, Roscommon County Council will sign off on a €86 million budget for 2026 - an increase of over €6 million on this year's.
Over €13 million will be spent on housing and building, and almost €33 million on roads.
The draft Budget confirms it's proposed to increase commercial rates by 5 per cent next year.
But chief executive Shane Tiernan says this will only impact 4 per cent of ratepayers as a small business support scheme will wipe out the increase for everyone else.
