Over €30 million will be spent on a flood relief scheme for Carrick-on-Shannon over the next six years.
The multimillion-euro project is included in Leitrim County Council's new capital programme, after the town was devastated by floods in 2009 and 2015.
This new capital programme runs from 2026 to 2031.
